Lake Concord Park/Art House Expansion
The Lake Concord Art House Expansion involves expanding the existing Lake Concord Park/Art House to the east to incorporate an additional art gallery and event space. Improvements include a new covered connecting walkway leading to the proposed art gallery; as well as additional parking with permeable, electric, and ADA spaces. The parking lot will accommodate overflow event parking and tent event space and will incorporate bioswale water management areas. Behind the proposed art gallery will be an elevated wood deck with nighttime lighting, as well as a sculpture walk that includes the new Johann Eyfells Receptual Garden. Special care is being taken to protect existing specimen trees; additional shade and flowering trees will also be added along the proposed walks.
The expansion is projected to cost $2,391,272.50, based on the conceptual design cost estimate.
The preliminary estimated additional annual operating cost related to the proposed improvements for this park is $60,444.
